NSYNC was an American boy band formed in Orlando Florida in 1995. The members consisted of Justin Timberlake, J Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass. NSYNC has received a host of Grammy Award nominations as well as performed at the Super Bowl, the Olympics and the World Series.
NYSNC was active between 1995-2002. The band completed five nationwide concert tours and has sold over 70 million records, becoming the fifth-best-selling boy band in history. These 5 guys got together, formed a band, made an album and changed the world all in one shot! That's the basic story behind the quintet known as NSYNC.
Throwback Thursday .. How They Got Their Name
Justin's mom got a call, put a tape together and the rest is history! NSYNC was one of the most successful groups in music history. The mega-popular band's name actually has an interesting, if not endearing story. It's said that NSYNC got its name after Justin Timberlake's mother made a comment on how "in sync" the group's singing voices were. The spelling/format of the name s also a play on the last letter of each of the initial members' names: JustiN, ChriS JoeY, JasoN and JC.
