The owners of this bright red Mini Cooper always referred to this parking space as .. the pole position. It is a term used in motorsport racing given to the lead car at the start of a race such as the Indianapolis 500. The owners have sold this "rollerskate on wheels" as Mike Ferguson used to say and the Indy 500 won't be run this May due to COVID-19. The more things change, the more they stay the same is a familiar saying though with a global pandemic among us now .. life has forever changed as we knew it. We will be returning to a .. new normal. I sincerely hope that we will come out of this stronger and more understanding of each other. We are all in this together, as one.
Those of us who frequented the Italian Fisherman and the Bemus Bay Pops through the years have sweet memories whether it was enjoying dinner while looking out at a stunning Bemus Bay sunset, watching an evening concert among the stars in the sky and on the floating stage or enjoying a Sunday afternoon performance .. where the music met the Bemus Bay water creating a beautiful blend of memories for all of us, now. I, personally, recall one special Sunday afternoon on July 6, 2014 .. a smooth jazz concert with sax player, Vincent Ingala who was Artist of the Year 2012 & 2013. That afternoon I met a group of ladies who had traveled from Vincent's hometown, Prospect Connecticut to Bemus Point NY. The mileage is 436.2 miles, by car! Now those are avid fans of a great tenor saxophone player!
