There are so many surefire ways to get into the holiday spirit .. baking the most festive Christmas sugar cookies, listening to your favorite carols, and of course, curling up on the couch for a Christmas movie marathon with the best Christmas movies of all time. So pull out the mounds of blankets (at least one for each family member), pour the hot chocolate in your beloved Santa mugs and cuddle up in your Christmas PJs for some quality screen time.
Your author is hooked on the Hallmark Channel especially this time of year when they offer many holiday themed movies with all of us waiting for "the kiss" usually at the end of each movie. I usually hear someone ask .. "Have they kissed yet?" Another favorite of mine is The Holiday in 2006. The movie starred Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.
The Holiday synopsis is two women troubled with guy-problems swap homes in each other's countries where they each meet a local guy and fall in love. If you are expecting an epic cinematic masterpieice, then The Holiday is not for you. However, if you are looking for a light entertaining movie, I would definitely recommend this film. The ending is fairly predictable. Afterall, this is a romantic comedy. The Holiday is a great film for those of us who would like to suspend reality for awhile and just enjoy.
Enjoy the holidays.
Be Safe.
