Mayor Ken Shearer and his wife Jennifer.  They attended many Pops concerts throughout the 2019 summer concert season and this one certainly required necklaces that glowed in the dark when Boogie Wonderband, direct from Montreal Canada, took to the floating stage in full disco attire that included those infamous .. bell-bottom pants.  BWB did not disappoint with their unique brand of non-stop disco music and light show!  We all "got our groove on" that night!

Dear Chautauqua Lake Pops Friends,

We are living in unprecedented times.  Each of us want to return to our normal routine of enjoying life as soon as possible though we understand this has to be done with great care and caution in order to keep ourselves, our families and our community healthy.

The Village of Mayville is not immune to the current conditions and although we are eager to get our local businesses including the Chautauqua Lake Pops back up and running we must follow New York State guidelines in doing so.  Quality entertainment provides for a better quality of life and a better mental condition for everyone. At this point in time, we must make our physical well-being the paramount concern when moving forward.

I hope you are doing well ready to come back and visit Mayville.  I look forward to your return and support of our great local businesses as soon as allowable.

Be Well,

Ken Shearer, Mayor
Village of Mayville

This photo was taken with our hosts, Dan and Sue Dalpra with Pops sponsors Bruce and Eileen Usnik along with Paula and Michael Occionero. Everyone was decked out with their disco glow necklaces and even a disco crown!

Be safe.
