As I sit before my laptop on March 24, 2020 I contemplate the seriousness of this global virus and how it has affected our lives since spreading across the United States from China. I hope and pray that by the time the Pops is ready to launch its 2020 season on July 11th featuring the return of Hotel California we are back to living our lives to the fullest and are able to enjoy the many concerts that Dan and his team have assembled, once again, for us. Given time, everyone will appreciate a return to normalcy and we all will be closer for it. Remember, the arts and music are the glue that makes the Pops work. I believe being forward thinkers is what the people want for the best summer, ever!
We all hope this time of uncertainty passes quickly and we are able to move forward with renewed hope, strength and opportunity for the 2020 Chautauqua Lake Pops concert series. Being able to, once again, give a hug or extend a hand of friendship will be a welcome gesture.
